It depends on what you mean by migrant workers! If you mean those that have gone through the legal system to come to our Country to work then like any other worker here they provide a service in which they are paid for. In that way they are a convenient and willing group of workers that can fill a labor need.
If by migrant worker you mean an illegal immigrant then I see no advantage that they might bring to our Country. They are a burden to our health services, to our welfare systems and place an undue burden on just about every aspect of our Social system. Since 9-11-01 over 50,000 good American Citizens have died as a direct result of illegal aliens. This is almost as many good men and women as we lost in the whole Vietnam war and over 10 times as many as we have lost in the Iraqi and Afghanistan wars combined. Illegal aliens are the fastest growing group in our prisons. Illegal aliens run or control some of the most violent gangs in our Country today, they are responsible for much of the brought into our Country These number pale when you add in the s and other violent crimes and when you add in the number of people harmed by stolen identities you can see how the price we pay easily in not worth the savings that is maybe gained by exploiting this group of workers by paying them far less then we would think of paying our own citizens.

Where I am a preliminary hearing is only to establish probable cause. More than likely your son will have to testify. The prosecutor will ask questions and then the defense will ask questions. From what I have seen most preliminary hearings are done (because they are required by statute) and the defense tries to turn it into a Discovery matter.
Meaning the defense will try and find out what your son’s story is. If that story changes between the prelim and the trial it would undermine the credibility of the witness.
The prosecutor’s office will probably have some there before court to talk to you all. If not, so long as his story remains the same nothing to worry about.
I have heard prosecutors tell witnesses to answer in one word answers, Short, short, short answers. This is not a trial for the Beyond a Reasonable Doubt stuff. This is only probable cause (about 85%) that the person charged did the crime. Most I have seen get Certified to circuit court almost always.
Yes, if it is certified to circuit court then he will testify there, that will be the trial. Most are plea bargained away early on so there won’t be a trial. More than likely the defendant has a record and his attorney is just testing the waters at the prelim to see about his bargaining power for the plea.

I have an open mind on this subject, but you’re wrong on this count. All viruses hijack and kill their host cells, HIV is no exception. When infected, and T-Cells start to decline, the body responds by manufacturing more, and for a time can keep levels up. The transformation from HIV to AIDS results from no change to the behaviour of the HIV virus, it occurs when the HIV virus spreads to enough cells and replicates too fast for the body to keep T-Cell numbers up.

There is no disadvantage other than the loss of the use of the card. You should be able to pay off exactly as you are paying off now, by installment at the lower rate. I don't believe they can demand full payment of the account. Your credit record will not be harmed. You will be paying off per your agreement. You simply are not allowing them to modify the agreement to their advantage.
If I were carrying any kind of substantial balance, I would close the account and pay off under the old terms. Both rates are outrageous, but the new one is especially bad.
