It is as if you drove to the state that Cash Call is located in and borrowed the money…they are based in a state other than Louisiana and there for are allowed to charge what ever they like. It depends all on how you protect yourself. If you go to a reputable shop to get a tattoo, that uses clean, new needles, you cannot get aids from it. but if you go somewhere that does not use a new needle (which is illeagle) you could contract the virus

If you told us which camcorder and which computer, that would be a whole lot more useful.
If your camcorder really is analog (Beta, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8, etc.), then ann analog/digital converter would be needed to get that video into the computer.
Pinnacle (Dazzle) and Roxio – among MANY others – make units that connect to the computer using USB. Canopus makes units that connect using firewire.
If you can connect the camcorder to the computer, that may mean you can transfer stills from the memory stick only… That does not mean you can get video off the tape.
IF you are using a Digital8 tape or miniDV tape based camcorder, they are digital recording formats that happen to be on tape. They are just as digital as flash memory or hard disc drive – just a different storage format and way less compression on the digital video on the tape. The BEST way to get video from the digital camcorder to a computer is by using firewire – USB won't work because it cannot handle the DV format stream. Connect a firewire cable to the DV port of the camcorder and the firewire port of the computer. If the computer has no firewire port, hopefully it has an available expansion slot so you can add one. USB-to-firewire cable/converter/adapter/hubs will not work.
If you are unable or unwilling to add a firewire port to the computer, then the next best way is to treat the camcorder as an analog one and us an analog/digital converter like those described in the third paragraph.
