If you have received an answer that meets your needs, _please_ choose one of those as a 'best answer' as soon as you can; otherwise, this question will go to an automatic vote. Other answerers deserve to receive the 'best answer' vote for their attempt at answering your question.

If you haven't received a good answer for your question, you may want to consider the following,

    1) Remove this version of your question and re-post your question. Newer questions get more activity on Yahoo! Answers than old ones.

    2) If you do re-post your question, consider why it wasn't answered the first time. Could it be more specific? Could it be worded better? Were there grammatical or spelling errors? Was it in the best category? Can you provide more helpful details?

If it doesn't seem likely that re-posting your question will help you, then here's a listing of my favorite 'answer sites' for Arts & Humanities. Maybe one of them will help you.

Since I really haven't answered your question, it is not necessary to give me any points. This post is simply to encourage you to pick a best answer or to help you find a good answer. Regards.

I've played in surf bands before, and nothing beats a Fender-type guitar and a Fender tube amp w/ spring reverb.

Strings? No higher than a 10-46 set. I use D'Addarios 9-42, but I do a lot of string bending. (fake pedal steel licks)

Effects? All you really need is the reverb, perhaps a tremelo pedal, and a bit of saturation to dirty up the sound when needed…like an Ibanez Tube Screamer…great pedal!

It also helps if your guitar is equipped with a whammy bar, like the Fender Strat.

Bands? Do a search on YouTube for the Hellecasters for some modern hot instrumental guitar, and study the masters… The Ventures. Here's a clip from back in the mid-60's. Have fun!

You could make the character look at an object related to the flashback and remember the time she did whatever it is that she did. At the end of the flashback, you could say that someone waved their hand in your character's face or something, bringing him/her back to the present.

Martin Luther did not just "translate" the Bible; he removed many books from the Bible, labelling them as 'apophrica.' He did not only this, but edited key passages to fit his own, personal interpretation; eg., altering parts which stated 'we are saved by faith and works', to 'we are saved by faith ALONE.'

In doing this, he overthrew centuries of scholarship among bishops and other leaders of the Church; to make such changes would normally take wide-spread agreement, he did it by himself.

By making such changes, Luther's revision of the Bible was a major event of the Reformation.

The craziest thing about a typical “top secret” U.S. Government phone is that you can probably spot it from a football field away. If your mental picture of a Hollywood-style NSA agent drives a black AMC Ambassador, wears a polyester suit and Ray-Bans, and smokes Luckies, then his phone may either be Maxwell Smart’s shoe or a General Dynamics Sectera Edge (pictured left). At any distance, it looks like one of the pocket football games my junior high school vice principal used to confiscate and collect in his back drawer. The National Security Agency wants a real-world smartphone, not the one it has now – not the one you see here. Of course, it must fulfill the Dept. of Defense’s requirements for session encryption and data retention. But beyond that fact, the NSA wonders why its secure phone can’t have multitouch, apps, and speed just like the civilians have. Based on looks alone, you’d think the civilians are a couple of pegs ahead of the G-men. This is a story of looks being more…
