If you don’t need Bluetooth for the cellphone, you probably don’t need it for other things like TV or iPods. For many patients the extra equipment is a little overwhelming and many do well on the TV and Cell phone without Bluetooth. Bluetooth is simply for connection to other devices only and doesnt make the hearing aids any louder, but it is a nice convenience factor if you spend a lot of time on the cell phone.
Digital Hearing Aid accessories are excellent tools, but only to those who really need them. I dont typically recommend that you buy any extra accessories like Bluetooth, FM systems, or remote controls unless you really need them. They are one more thing to purchase, one more thing that could break, and one more battery to change or recharge. You can always add them later if you need to.
If you live in a state or region where “hands-free” laws are in effect, then you should take a closer look at it. If this is the case, then Bluetooth may be a great option for you while you are in your car driving down the road. While Bluetooth is a great option and extremely convenient, the main goal of a hearing aid is to reconnect you with your family, friends, and loved ones so that you can experience life to the fullest again!

Lag: bear in mind that you’re dealing with a mini-computer that happens to be able to make calls, not a phone in the traditional sense. As with a PC, the more apps you run, the more lag you may notice (1 -2s sometimes, “missed” touches). In normal operation with mission critical apps though, there is no lag. I’d STRONGLY suggest Taskiller though, as the OS never seems to really kill anything you ever open on its own, nor is there an exit or “off” option for most apps. Upshot: persistence. If your hoping to join one of the Special forces e.g. The Royal Air Force (RAF) then if you have problems with your eyesight/hearing then you will not even begin air-crew training.
If your eyesight/hearing is threatening to the safety of yourself, your team & civilians you will not begin training.
Vision problems = No you cannot become a pilot.
Hearing problems = Can be treated; so possibly.

Not too sure about rock, although I imagine each of them will have a beat because if they hear it through the plugs there is less need for monitors which may cause feedback?
Certainly when I play with a symphony orchestra many wind and brass players wear earplugs so that they can play in tune better

Contact your local Sertoma Club, a wonderful non-profit organization that's focus is on Speech & Hearing. Perhaps thru Chamber of Commerce would have a contact name. My club has paid for hearing aids & TDY machines for those in need in our own community.Also provided the local hospital with the new equipment to test new born babies hearing.
