My first hearing aid was when I was 2 years old in 1972 with the body worn aid….since 1978, I now wear the behind the ear aids….my hearing aids have helped me so much for years.

You were DENIED because you "have restrictions and cannot perform you job as described"? Well isn't disability paid to people BECAUSE they can't perform their jobs any more due to illness or injury? I will be getting my first disability check 2 weeks from today—I applied in January. I am terminally ill COPD, Conjestive heart failure AND pulmonary hypertension…. with a life expectancy (according to my doctors) of less then 5 years….. I was not denied nor did I have to hire an attorney because I am terminal I guess….As for the hearing, it can take a few months to get you on the hearing schedule…….try to remember it is a government agency you are working with…and THEY in turn have hundreds of hearings to deal with each month….. I DO know how anxious you are to be accepted and start receiving disability checks…. I know between the meds and the rental of the oxygen tanks and the condensor that I must use and the c-pap machine, I was going BROKE just trying to pay for it all AND all my regular bills (car, rent, electric, etc etc) with just my retirement check….good luck with your hearing…. I hope you are successful.

once the hair cells are damaged they are damaged. there is no magical-medicinal cure for a sensory/ neural hearing loss.
buck up and get your self some hearing aids. if you have a high frequency loss. make sure they have directional microphones and at the very least 8 channels so the audiologist has greater programming ease.

It's a dog…the 3-speed tyranny rev's too high on the hwy, and sap's too much power from the motor, so it will be significantly slower than a manual
Also, unless you have traction control(which 944's do not), it may be a real handful in snow or heavy rain.
944 is a GREAT car for the sunbelts…not so great in an area which has 4-real seasons. Consider also, the "newest" 944 is 21 years old…age of a car is as important as mileage when considering repair costs…the DME box alone is VERY expensive(like $1500-2000)

As you know, we’re now owned by AOL. And while it’s a big company, you’d think we’d be able to find out some tidbits of information about secret projects they’re working on. Nope. Sometimes it seems as if they’re fine with anyone else finding out what they’re working on as long as it’s not us. Take the “mobile-first” group for example. When it's due to accident it's not possible to restore (husband had same thing) so all you can do is amplify to whatever degree possible. Your hearing will still be distorted because of the damage. You might be expecting too much of a restoration to your hearing. If you have hearing aids then you have already been tested.
