In my area, there is so much competition that they charge $2.50 per garment, prepaid. However, I hand wash mine and they come out just fine. Since they go against my body, I launder them by hand after each wearing. I use Woolite which works well without damaging them.

Hearing aids are just about as good as the test equipment used and the knowledge and experience of the person who conducts the frequency response test on your individual ears. The test determines what frequencies within the audio frequency spectrum that your ear needs to have amplified and by how much so that sounds are normal rather than distorted. It takes several different frequencies to stimulate your ear to produce a particular undistorted sound. If your ear does not respond to all of those frequencies required to produce all the sounds then normal speech sounds distorted.
The trick to a successful hearing aid is to have an accurate frequency response test ran on your ears and then have the hearing aid tuned to amplify the audio frequencies that need amplifying and passing the other audio frequencies on as is.
If the frequency response test determines that your ear responds poorly to all audio frequencies then the hearing aid can be tuned to amplify all frequencies the same and amplified enough so that the sounds are at the desired volume.
If the frequency response test determines that your ear does not respond at all to certain audio frequencies then a hearing aid can not remove the distortion.

Lots of hot water and soap. Soak for a good while and then try a pipe cleaner or bottle brush to help remove the resin. Good luck. You will need it!!!

My 1 1/2 year old daughter and I will be spending some time in the former East Germany this summer. She is black, and I am white. How concerned should I be about racism? The three or four German people I’ve spoken to about racial attitudes in the former East have not been reassuring, so I am particularly interested in hearing from people of color who have lived in the region. We will be living in Weimar, in university accommodation set up for visiting scholars. Weimar’s population is overwhelmingly white. My main concern is my daughter’s nursery school. The plan is that she will go there every day from 9 to 5, and I am worried about the kind of experience she will have. I am going to talk to the director in the next week or so, and would appreciate any thoughts on how to conduct the conversation. Specifically, I need to broach the delicate topic of how staff and families handle racial diffierence and, potentially, racial “incidents.” I’ve asked a less focused version of this question…

Basically when a person contracted the HIV-AIDS or Retro-Virus, there is NO MORE CHANCE of cure (at the present time).
Common misconception of many people that there is a cure for it when diagnose at early stage. The only available drugs against Retrovirus at this time is only pallative. It means, the medication is only work to retard or slow down the replication and spread of the virus. But there is no way to eliminate it completely.
Another misconception is many people were dying due to HIV-AIDS virus. The real truth was, people infected by retrovirus died not because of the virus perse. They died because secondary to INFECTION of what-so-ever disease.
The primary target of retrovirus is CD4 or helper T-Cell. CD4 cell is one type of WBC. It is one of the major defense of our body on fighting bacteria and foreign bodies.
Therefore if the retrovirus attack the CD4, the body will be bare defenseless from disease producing microorganism.
That is the time people become ill and die from the what-so-ever infection.
You are right! PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. Because there is no CURE yet!
For your info: The Diagnosis and Staging of HIV-AIDS virus is based on the level of CD4 helper T-cell.

Buy a can of Resolve carpet shampoo or another brand, then folllowing the directions on the can, use a new, but inexpensive sponge mop, to apply the shampoo. Let it dry completely before it's walked on. You may want to buy a can of Scotchguard & use on this stretch of hallway, since it seems to be a high traffic area.

Profound is more severe than severe. Both a person with a profound or severe hearing loss is deaf. And person with any degree of hearing loss – even mild – is deaf. But most people with mild to moderate hearing loss call themselves hard of hearing. Some people who are hard of hearing do not think of themselves as disabled.
A person who also uses sign language and considers themselves culturally deaf – capitalizes the D in deaf and may or may not consider them self to be disabled.
