I don't know about purchasing a camera for your needs for under $100, but any camera you get will allow you to put photos online. Depending on what size card you get in your camera (your film, basically) you should get a USB cable with your camera. You plug the USB cable into your computer, your camera, turn your camera on, and a program in your computer will prompt you what you want to do with these down loaded pictures. Save them in a file. All of your photographs should go into the folder you want, and will be there for you to attach to any letter or document you want.

Dusty's right that a DSLR is your best answer, but that's not cheap. There are not too many point and shoot digital cameras that go very wide. The small sensor used in most makes it darn near impossible to do because of lens angles and all kinds of stuff that I can't explain very well.
Anyhow, one P&S that I know about that has a sort of wide angle lens in the Canon Powershot SD800-IS. It isn't really great at the wide angle (loss of edge sharpness and some distortion are visible), but it's a bit wider than most that only go to 35-38 mm at 28 mm. It's still not cheap…
Check out this page. Click on "In-depth review" and "Read Owner Opinions" for the camera. Be sure to note that the review is many pages long so you don't stop after page one. Check the sample images, also. You can enlarge these to full size images if you click on the link below the picture. You will have to then put your cursor in the white space to the right of the picture and click once. After that, you can pass your cursor over the image and it will turn into a magnifier. Click it as a magnifier once and the image will go to full size and you can really examine the detail or look for artifacts like fringing or noise or distortion.

the way some of the people talk talk; u'll think the only way to print anything is at a wal-mart kiosk, lol. 1 thing I've learned w/ photo printers; is use the malefactors' inks and paper for the best results. I've been using HP portable photo prints for over 4 yrs now. i have been very please. I've been plz to the point that i make money w/ my HP potable photo prints. I've taken it to company and family gatherings and made prints; for a small fee; lol. the newest HP photo printer has on-board photo editing controls, a huge screen to preview, lots of slots, and hook-ups so that u can print from almost anything. i left u a link; this is the 1 i will be getting to replace the 1 i have now, lol. i just have 2 have the l8est and greatest; lol.

I would highly recommend the Canon Powershot a590 IS. It's only around $150 which is half of your max price. The quality of photos from this camera are on par with others I've tried worth 300-400 dollars. I'd consider this a wise investment.
