I highly recommend you French for a lots of major reasons , first french is the only language with English spoken on every continents , also french is really easy to learn for an English speaker because form 70% to 72% on English come from french (Because of the Norman conquest of England in 1060 ).
Also the french is the language of the diplomacy and french will make you think in a very different way because it's a debate language and a very precise language.
But also the french community is growing really fast , the studies shows that there is gonna be more french speaker that English speaker by 2027 . (English speakers are gonna drop from 9% of the world population to 5% in 2050 wile french is gonna rise from 3% to 8%).
You can read this article published by Virginia Tech in 2009 explaining why french is the most important foreign language to learn.
There is a lot more other reasons why studies french , if you live in the US you can learn how to appreaciat the cajun culture also lot of jobs are offered to french speaker , because of the companies from Quebec that look for french speaker , and i have like an other billions reasons but i am gonna stop here because i don't want to right entire book
For me learning french really opened my mind and made me think differently i feel (more intelligent ) and reading in french is amazing ! you can feel what the author is thinking !
So good luck for your choice i hope that you will enjoy it !
Ho i almost forgot to tell you , by becoming a french speaker you will be a member of the Francophonie witch is composed by 70 governments.
(Sorry for my bad English , my first language is dutch.)

Basically analog is directly recorded onto a device such as a tape. Digital has to be converted to binary ( 1's and 0's) before it is stored on the device.
Digital allows higher compression than analog and doesn't degrade over time.

No. AIDS is the result of infection by a virus called HIV. The virus has to pass from the body fluids of someone already infected to someone else.
Mixing blood that doesn't already have HIV won't create the virus. However if someone has HIV in their blood and a small amount of their blood is able to enter your bloodstream, HIV can get into your body that way.
It's important to remember that not everyone who has HIV in their body knows they have it.

One is elected the other appointed.
One is accountable…eventually in historical terms but in practice isn't really..the other can be posted anywhere in the world at a moments notice, sacked or imprisoned.
One has no experience but a lot of opinions and ideas the other has lots of experience and rarely if ever talks about it.
One is concerned for their career and what people will think about them the other is concerned for the lives and well being of other people, today.

The UK price for the Nexus S just became a whole lot (nearly 22 percent) more attractive, thanks to the Carphone Warehouse slashing the SIM-free purchase option to a sweet £429.99 ($668). Contract-saddled pricing has also taken a tumble, as the Nexus S can now be had for free on two-year agreements costing £30 ($47) per month. Good news all around, then, but be aware that the handset is now listed as being on back order, having been “in stock” earlier in the week. Speaking of delays, we’re also hearing Best Buy’s guaranteed Christmas delivery — something proudly signposted on the Nexus S online order page — might very well miss Santa’s delivery window. A couple of our readers have received emails from the retailer advising them that their Gingerbread packages will be shipped “within the next 1-2 weeks,” but might not get there by December 24th. So happy holidays and best of luck! [Thanks, Taylor and Rod] Continue reading Nexus S sees UK SIM-free price chopped to £430, Best Buy’s…

Steve, I have two main thoughts. First, the preferences of individuals are not terribly relevant to institutional viability. That school might not get you as a student or faculty, but there is large demand for college educations and insanely greater demand for tenure-track jobs. Seats would get filled. And since libraries are needed for accreditation, the library doors would stay open. Second, it isn’t like we would be sitting on our butts. Resources would be freed up for pursuing new solutions, potentially including (functional) bribes for startled faculty. In my view, we can either definitely fail if we continue the way we are, or we can maybe fail if we try something different. (And third, what do faculty have to agree on? It’s an honest question. Faculty governance as I’ve seen it has been pretty limited to curriculum and faculty self-selection/evaluation. How the library supports those endeavors is a purely administrative matter. Sure, there’s politics that can influence administration, but if I’m going to do something stupid with my budget, I’d rather have it be because my boss made me do it instead of it being self-inflicted.)

With the Super Bowl less than a week away, US Customs has shut down a new set of Internet domain names for sites that linked to live sports broadcasts on the Web. As usual, the underlying servers were not affected and many sites are already running at new, non-US-controlled addresses. Readers began notifying us this afternoon that sites like ATDHE.net were down, replaced with a US government warning page instead. US Customs has been running Operation In Our Sites for months now, making crackdowns in waves against sites accused of copyright infringement and counterfeiting. Customs has not yet announced the newest round of takedowns, though sites like the popular Spanish Rojadirecta were hit. The sites make it possible to view just about every sporting event live online, even exclusive pay-per-view events, and the US Congress has taken notice. In 2009, it held a hearing on “Piracy of Live Sports Broadcasting Over the Internet” at which law professor Christopher Yoo called out ADTHE by…

This is a very interesting question….but its a hard one to answer. This is like asking what is the difference between Caucasians living in England vs the US mainland vs Hawaii. There's really no real answers to this.
I, being an Asian who lived in Asia, on the US Mainland AND Hawaii, I can give you some general ideas. First of all, there is a difference in attitude and dress no matter what ethic group you are. People in Hawaii tend to dress more casually and are more laid back than most people on the mainland USA. US is a very very diverse country, people from the east coast will dress differently than the west coasts/south/north.
As to the comparison with Asia….that is just WAYYYYY too general…I guess the only thing I can say about that is Asians in Asia are probably more traditional in terms of following the rules of their own culture, whereas Asians in the US are largely 2nd/3rd generations and are less culturally strict….more americanized? I suppose.
