Sloan Churman, 29, was born deaf and had never heard the sound of her own voice—until last week.
Eight weeks ago, Churman underwent surgery for a hearing implant called The Esteem Implant by Envoy Medical. Though she'd been wearing hearing aids since the age of 2, she says they “only help so much.” She had her husband record the activation of the implant.
We dare you not to break out into tears with her.
Churmman uploaded the video on YouTube and responded to touched commenters, “Thanks guys! I kind of wish my hubby would have recorded a little longer but he was crying and wanting to bounce around the room : )”

I think hearing loss is actually quite common. A lot of people hear in different ranges. I had a class where they used a machine to do different sounds, and different people in the class had a wider range of hearing. Loud music and all kinds of things can cause hearing loss.

The difference is that vision problems are a big deal. You need to be able to see things clearly. With hearing, as long as you can hear "enough," you're all right. Most of us don't need to hear things from a mile away. We aren't hunting in the woods anymore.

It's probably better than nothing as I doubt if it would do any harm. Sure, go with it if your otologist has no better suggestions.

I have a seven year old son who is 80% deaf and wants a dog. He gets bullied in school and in our apartments because he wears hearing aids and the kids call him retard deaf boy or they take his haring aids off and for that reason I would like for him he doesnt want to wear them. I was told by a specialist that a dog would help him adjust to everything to have a small dog (Dandie Dinmont Terrier,Silky Terrier,West Highland White Terrier,Yorkshire Terrierr Pomeranian, MaltiPoo) somewhere along those. Really dont want a big dog because he's afraid and when they bark it hurts his ears cause their lounder than small dog. I dont have alot of money between my two kids, daycare, groceries, clothes an bills (single mom) but I can give something. You can call or text me 214-417-5652 Natasha

absolutely safe. Think about all the senior citizens who need both too. No need to choose a steady heart beat over being able to hear. They are totally compatible.

There is a big difference. I can explain it to you. Heres some general info that goes with it.

There is no medical practice to Psychiatry. Its only a belief system with no blood tests or science. People have problems from abuse or were simply into the occult. This is all that is found in every case- Source- Experience working in this area.

Hurting people hurt others. Parents and others classmates-bully and use words to trick you and to get a sick high from it. Seeing things and all the so called false mental problems start, but are not disorders. Abuse can cause all known so called mental problems.- BP, OCD, and all others. They have the problem- you only have a reaction to the abuse.

Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons masquerade as “angels of light” and as “servants of righteousness.” Appearing as a “ghost” and impersonating and talking as a deceased human being definitely is a disguise that demons use and do other things like messing with your mind, rapid cycling, instant crying- even when they are not visible and abuse brings them as well as other things.

Hearing voices/Mood swings - Common words heard-- Lets kill him/her/rape. So you have more than one entity speaking. Happy then crying? this is the classic demonic example.

PLUS - What mental illness causes objects to move in the house of the victims?

Theres power in Jesus NAME.....USE it and learn about abuse below. Test yourself.

Seach You Tube for " Psychiatry Exposed" Real M.D.s show psychiatry is conjecture.-
Google this--"Inside the Mind of an Abuser' See how people/parents lie and control.

I have many links for you to read on abuse and inner healing. 30 years exp- abuse

Source- Seeing people cured of this in ministry on a regular basis - anyone who asks for help.

You shouldn't have a problem passing the test.
Even if you were completely deaf in one ear, you could pass.

If you can hear the doctor speaking to you at 6 feet, with your back turned, using BOTH ears, you will pass.

This is the primary test for the FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate. (and 2&3 as well)

If you fail the test, you can elect to have an audiometric test done.

Here are the actual requirements:

"Demonstrate hearing of an average conversational voice in a quiet room, using both ears at 6 feet, with the back turned to the examiner OR pass one of the audiometric tests below :

Audiometric speech discrimination test: (Score at least 70% discrimination in one ear) or:

Pure tone audiometric test: Unaided, with thresholds no worse than:
                                             500Hz 1,000Hz 2,000Hz 3,000Hz
                      Better Ear 35Db 30Db 30Db 40Db
                      Worst Ear 35Db 50Db 50Db 60Db"

An ADJUDICATION hearing is a fact-finding process, the result of which is a decision that a delinquent act was or was not committed by the youth as alleged.

I don't know the adult equivalent.

Having trouble getting through to your teenager? Maybe he or she can't hear you. One in every five teenagers in the United States today has a slight hearing loss, according to the authors of a new report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The proportion of teenagers with slight hearing loss has jumped 30 percent in the past 15 years. That means nearly 6.5 million teenagers now suffer from a slight hearing loss.

What are good headphones for people with mild hearing loss?

My son is 12 and has trouble hearing higher pitches. He also loves music and i was looking for some good headphones (not in the ear earphones) that might work better than bog standard headphones.

The challenge about the negative influence from EMF (electromagnetic fields) and electrosmog is that the human consciousness is being changed which is visible all over the world. Humanity has become more de-human proportional with the expansion of the mobile phones and the wireless society. Everything has been obvious for many years. We started a huge mobile mast debate in Denmark in July 2003 and everyone was silenced. The agenda is global mind control - the mobile phone is a control box.
