Wow-I’m only 45 minutes into this and I’m getting queasy – how could SpaceX NOT know about the M LAS test? I watched it on Youtube a couple of days after it was conducted. That’s pretty scary. Their static test failed just last Tuesday. Looks like NASA and the Air Force are going to have to hold their hand and lead them along if they’re ever going to “get off the ground”. Don't be so cynical. Every hearing has an appeals process. So if you get railroaded in the first hearing, you can appeal it. I suggest you put on a rigorous defense and prepare for the worst. Just make it clear that a loss will be appealed and sometimes they will back off.

You cant afford a doc eh? I recommend some home remedies my great Uncle Al did.
Take 1 tbl spoon of cinnamon and 8 oz of milk. Let it sit outside in the sun for 24 hours (1day). Then put the moisture on your cotton swab and place in your ear for 2 days straight, 3 times a day. The cinnamon creates a scratchy substance when its churned in the sun by the milk. This substance will release particles like vics vapor rub would for your nose.
Another home remedy would be to apply ben gay around your ear, but not totally in your ear. Leave and let it sit for 30mins, then place some inside your ear. It has the same effect as above but works faster.

once the hair cells are damaged they are damaged. there is no magical-medicinal cure for a sensory/ neural hearing loss.
buck up and get your self some hearing aids. if you have a high frequency loss. make sure they have directional microphones and at the very least 8 channels so the audiologist has greater programming ease.

Check with the vocational rehabilitation department for your state. If you need the HAs to work, they may help you with the cost. Starkey Foundation gives away HAs as well. The other link is not well maintained, but has many sources for funding for hearing aids.

I've no experience with hearing aids, so i can only offer what i think…
TVs and music are different to peoples' voices, so this might have something to do with it. It'll be how your hearing aid picks up these sounds. On the TV and with music, they're 'stereo' sounds (pre recorded and playing back through an electrical device) rather than live sounds coming directly from where you are. I think you need to get them sorted, adjust them or reset them (whatever you do with them).
What are your hearing aids like on the phone to someone?

well i certainly hope that something comes to fruitition. I had Cisplatin in 1993 and have had quite bad sensorineural hearing loss ever since (although i got worse around 1996). Ive had a bit of a difficult time at work because and have also had confidence issues and problems with anxiety. I still sometimes think it must be me and not the hearing loss. Well there now looks to be some light at the end of the tunnel and I can finally get on with living my life again,just have to keep waiting.

There is a big difference. I can explain it to you. Heres some general info that goes with it.
There is no medical practice to Psychiatry. Its only a belief system with no blood tests or science. People have problems from abuse or were simply into the occult. This is all that is found in every case- Source- Experience working in this area.
Hurting people hurt others. Parents and others classmates-bully and use words to trick you and to get a sick high from it. Seeing things and all the so called false mental problems start, but are not disorders. Abuse can cause all known so called mental problems.- BP, OCD, and all others. They have the problem- you only have a reaction to the abuse.
Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons masquerade as “angels of light” and as “servants of righteousness.” Appearing as a “ghost” and impersonating and talking as a deceased human being definitely is a disguise that demons use and do other things like messing with your mind, rapid cycling, instant crying- even when they are not visible and abuse brings them as well as other things.
Hearing voices/Mood swings – Common words heard– Lets kill him/her/rape. So you have more than one entity speaking. Happy then crying? this is the classic demonic example.

Officially, the armed services each have their own testing standards for hearing. The actual test is technical but basically involves listening to sounds of decreasing/increasing pitch, tone, and volume and your ability to follow said sounds to the end of the spectrum.
generally, it is not encouraged for people that have hearing disabilities to enlist in the military….mostly because the army will refuse to pay disability for something that you had pre-service. those that are in the military and then lose their hearing are often submitted for medical boards that encourage them to leave the service.
depending on your hearing "score," it may be determined that you do or do not qualify for certain jobs. some jobs that require less reliance upon sound have qualifiers that may allow you to enter.
However, the official answer to your question can only be answered by the service you wish to work for. Since the entire recruiting process (up until the time you actually swear into service…delayed entry programs are not binding) is FREE, you are allowed to submit to the battery of tests and then walk away should you either not be elligble for the job you want, or not at all.

Since it sounds like a middle ear problem… you need lots and lots of power with less compression. Phonak makes the best powerful aids without the whistle. Talk to the audiologist about phonak and have them make the hearing aid very linear.

It's a dog…the 3-speed tyranny rev's too high on the hwy, and sap's too much power from the motor, so it will be significantly slower than a manual
Also, unless you have traction control(which 944's do not), it may be a real handful in snow or heavy rain.
944 is a GREAT car for the sunbelts…not so great in an area which has 4-real seasons. Consider also, the "newest" 944 is 21 years old…age of a car is as important as mileage when considering repair costs…the DME box alone is VERY expensive(like $1500-2000)

While this video is mostly about restoring hearing to older individuals, I’m not really a fan of the way they say people are “reconnecting to the world” –as if implying that people are completely cut off from society/isolated just from hearing loss. GREAT VIDEO! I am actually about to turn 40 may 24th 1971, I never had any major problems with hearing or ear infections until into my 30s actually. Now I am averaging an infection every 2 – 3 months and your right, each time the hearing does not come back totally, My right ear has never returned to toally normal, the left seems totally fine. I may end up with a hearing aid for my right ear.
