Fat Tissue Is Sensitive To Irradiation
Researchers led by Dr. Béatrice Cousin at Institut Louis Bugnard found that irradiation damages fat tissue. They report their findings in the January 2009 issue of The American Journal of Pathology. Radiation therapy directed at cancer management also damages normal tissues.

I have only worn aids without the feature. I can tell you it is a bit annoying when in a noisy environment one aid gets quieter (turning down noise) and you hear a difference between ears. Sound may not be quite loud enough to activate noise reduction feature on both aids if it is on one side of you. So I think the wireless communication feature would be nice if both aids were acting the same it would be less annoying to hear the different sounds from each ear. Also the ability to localize sound in the environment is supposed to be improved with the wireless feature. Good Luck!

New device to help very hard of hearing – better than hearing aids. Plus, continued citizen awareness that heart problems can affect anyone and to be aware of signs as well as risk factors. These are all important to be aware of. Preventive measures are always better in keeping healthy. Watch what you eat. Try to eat a complete meal and in small quantities more often is the key to good health.

But that doesn’t mean that all of the economist’s working at and around the Fed have bad intentions. Bernanke I am sure can go on all day with loads and loads of bs. It would never lead anywhere to argue with him. Or do you think arguing with him will change his mind.

There is definitely a relation between hearing loss and depression not sure if low self esteem is the right word. Yes when older people start to lose their hearing they often regress socially and stop going to group events or going out at all as things get harder and harder for them to enjoy due to their hearing loss. You will probably find differences in people who lost their hearing when they were older versus those who were born with it. I was born with hearing loss and grew up very shy. Not necessarily a problem with self esteem just quiet and reserved. I made plenty of friends in small groups and then was able to learn to cope in larger group situations if I knew some of the people there well. This is a great thesis idea – good luck!

Ok, use your brain. If you use ear plugs or ear protection, how are you gonna hear the plays, audibles, and snap count? I say you can get a hearing loss but you can't prevent it. I was born with a hearing problem and I played football for 13 years and it was hard to hear the plays as it is. Imagine if they wore ear plugs.

You probably experienced a temporary threshold shift in your hearing. Did your ears ring? If this is what you experienced you will get your hearing back, however if you continue to listen to really loud music your hearing will permanently shift with your high frequency (high pitches) hearing going first. Don't listen to people who tell you you lost %'s of your hearing. Hearing cannot be measured on a percentage scale. Depending on the decibel level they had the music turned up to determines whether or not you experienced a permanent threshold shift.
Decibel Exposure Time Guidelines
Accepted standards for recommended permissible exposure time for continuous time weighted average noise, according to NIOSH and CDC, 2002. For every 3 dBs over 85dB, the permissible exposure time before possible damage can occur is cut in half.
Permissible Exposure Time if you go over this hearing loss will occur
85 db 8 hours
88 dB 4 hours
91 db 2 hours
94 db 1 hour
97 db 30 minutes
100 db 15 minutes
103 db 7.5 minutes
106 dB 3.75 min (< 4min)
109 dB 1.875 min (< 2min)
112 dB .9375 min (~1 min) this is how loud a leaf blower is.
check out dangerousdecibels.org and it may clear a few things up for you
115 dB .46875 min (~30 sec)

No. Compression does just the opposite. It holds the loud passages down preventing overloading/distortion of the recording. (It does increase the volume of the quieter passages but holds the overall volume down so the channel(s) is(are) not overloaded. Basically, it decreases the ability to express music through dynamics – makes louder passages quieter and quieter ones louder. It's a real music killer!

After having symptoms like dizziness, ear fullness/hearing loss, tinnitus, facial weakness, tingling in arms: I went to the er because I was misdiagnosed 3 different times by doctors. Turns out I had TMJ and it does cause hearing loss. There's muscles that tighten up in your ear from you clenching your jaw, which causes muffled hearing and tinnitus. I can't believe I waited this long and it was only TMJ. I'm also sensative to sound, and it's not fun. I bought mothguards though and hopefully they will work. But the hearing loss isn't permanent. Go to your dentist and ask them to make you a mouthguard, either that or go to walmart and buy the 20 dollar ones (which is what I did.) I wish you good luck!
