Call it the Legend to HTC’s Desire, if you will, but we’re hearing that Sony Ericsson may have another Android device in the works that would slot in beneath the high-end Xperia X10. The phone — allegedly codenamed “Shakira” — is said to have a 3-inch display, but otherwise, we don’t have any details; the tipster says that it could be running either Android 1.6 or 2.1, and with Sony Ericsson’s custom skin in full effect, it’s impossible to tell from this shot. Of course, the SE community has a legendary reputation for creating unbelievably convincing mockups, so we can’t rule this real until the day it’s announced; then again, it stands to reason that they’d want to make something cheaper than an X10 and less of a novelty gadget than the X10 mini. In May I created a prop book for a movie currently in production. I’ve designed and created props for some big Hollywood blockbusters over the years, but this is decidedly not one of those, thankfully. It’s a small independent film by a first time writer/director named Steve Smith, starring unknowns. Hearing that was enough to get me intrigued, but when Steve sent me part of the script, I knew I had to work on this. The working title for the film is “The House at the End of the Lane.” It’s set in the first half of the 20th century, starting out in 1918. It has elements of horror, occult, and mystery, but basically it’s a tragedy—the story of a man who has lost something so dear to him he will go to any lengths to regain it. It does make a difference that you live in Australia. I'm from New Zealand and the Scouting and Guide movements are very similar to each other, but VERY different to American.
I have been in the Scouting movement for 6 years (I left last year) and the Guide movement for 3.
It really depends what you're into and the sort of person you are.
Do you like camping? Tramping? Tying knots? Doing really outdoors stuff, i.e. getting dirty and muddy. Do you like spending time with guys?
Or
Are you interested in a little bit of camping and tramping and tying knots? But cooking, sewing, baking and other 'girlie' things? Do you prefer spending time with girls more than guys?
If you'd consider yourself more of an outdoors/tom boy girl then I would say go to Scouts. If you'd prefer more girlie stuff, go to Guides.
I definitely preferred Scouts over Guides. If you get the chance and you're into performing, do a Gangshow.
