Oh, just saw your update…if your vet can't find any reason, what food are you feeding? I just read about a lot of issues with several different brands; you can check out the FDA website and consumer affairs…but anyway.
Your pet is a member of your family. He (or she, you didn't say) loves you unconditionally, always listens when you talk, never judges, never complains, always wants to do whatever you want to do, doesn't ask for more than you can give, and thinks you're the greatest person in the whole world. Your dog is loyal, doesn't cheat on you and never will, doesn't lie to you, forgives you instantly and forgets your mistakes, and can sense how you feel without you saying a word. Ask your girlfriend – if she had a friend like that, wouldn't it hurt to lose that friend?
It's nearly impossible to explain how deeply the loss hurts to someone who has never lost a pet. I hope that she can at least understand that you are hurting through this, even if she doesn't fully grasp why.

Your question is a little confusing… I'll try to answer it the best I can…
For ASL (or any sign language users) you can teach Deaf children to read pretty much just like any other bilingual language user. You use their first language (ASL) as a bridge to English, expose them to the language, provide access to reading and writing, and so forth. You can also teach Deaf children to break down words and decode them as a reading strategy.
You can evaluate reading comprehension by having the child re-tell the story to you using their native language – ie: ASL. If they use the wrong sign or an English based sign you can then get them to think about the text and the sign they used and self-evaluate and lead them in the right direction.
That is one huge mistake with using Signed English like they used to and sometimes still do. They'd have the child sign English word for word but the child wouldn't always comprehend what they were reading.
Research has shown that Bilingual education can and is very effective when done right, and Deaf children of Deaf parents who have that early language base in ASL often succeed just as well as hearing children of hearing parents. ASL and being deaf is not what causes deaf children to be behind in reading and writing – lack of early access to meaningful language is.
For non-signers, ie those who are oral, you'd teach probably much like you'd teach a hearing child.

You didn't provide the details of your hearing loss or your age, so my best guess is you're "technically" deaf because 'hard of hearing' is generally associated with 'mild' and 'moderate' groups.
Mild (25-40 dB) – (mildly) hard of hearing
Moderate (40-70 dB) – hard of hearing or deaf (it's common for one to say they're "deaf in one ear," though)
Severe (70-90 dB) – deafened or deaf
Profound (91 dB or more) – deaf

free thinking comes about when you brain storm and don't make any sort of evaluation of the "answers" you are coming up with…. they don't have to be practical or workable! you then go back and look at all the solution and work out which are do-able or not!
things like being creative with art helps free the mind too… doing things for fun that have no purpose or use!
you have to disconnect your left brain which is dominated by logic and tap into the right brain. do things like writing with your left hand instead of your right…. taking a different route… doing things out of your usual routine….
i think there is a book called drawing on the right side of the brain….

I'm not sure about any cell phones, but you can get a Phonak Smart Link FM system, which has blue tooth technology, and you can plug your cell phone into it, which will send the signal directly into your hearing aid. You'd have to buy a reciever to attach to your hearing aid as well. This can be expensive, but if you're planning on using your phone a lot it would be worth it. I would suggest you call Phonak's FM division and ask them more about it. Good luck!

There could be a number of possibilities going on such as endometriosis (just using endometriosis as an example only) but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

If the water really is very pure, then its conductivity will be very low. However, this can normally be compensated for by turning up the gain on the pH meter. The most likely cause for the pH reading being unstable is that the pH electrode is not brand new and, no matter how many times you wash it, minute amounts of electrolyte from previous experiments will have been adsorbed onto the surface. These leach out slowly into the water the next time it is used. This is normally not a problem, except when the pH of the solution being tested is very close to 7·0.
Buffer solutions are usually mixtures of a weak acid and one of its salts or a weak base and one of its salts. Let's look at the weak acid situation and let's call the acid HA. To calculate the pH of the solution, we use the basic equation:
[H3O+][A-]/[HA] = Ka
To a first approximation, we can assume the salt to be completely ionised and the acid to be esssentially un-ionised. Thus the ratio of [HA] to [A-] is constant and [H3O+] will be equal to this constant multiplied by Ka, which is also a constant. If equimolar quantities of the acid and its salt are used, [H3O+] will be equal to Ka. Thus pH = pKa under these conditions.
If a small amount of acid is introduced into the buffer solution, the hydronium ions will be 'mopped up' by the anions of the weak acid. This will cause a slight decrease in [A-], but, if you do the calculation, you'll find that this has a negligible effect on the pH value. Similarly, if a small amount of alkali is introduced, the OH- ions will be 'mopped up' by the H3O+ ions, but will have a neglible effect on the pH value.
