Contact your local Sertoma Club, a wonderful non-profit organization that's focus is on Speech & Hearing. Perhaps thru Chamber of Commerce would have a contact name. My club has paid for hearing aids & TDY machines for those in need in our own community.Also provided the local hospital with the new equipment to test new born babies hearing. Budgets are being set now. Contact a member in Sertoma & tell them of your plight.

it sounds real old fashioned but i used to sing in a band before i started up bass. anyway, my point is get those subtle ear plugs that just mute the sound a little quieter not completely

Medical records and diagnosis along with treatment options are presented to the judge. Patient advocate gives opinion and judge makes decision. Judge usually agrees to sound medical procedure.
Since the state has removed the patient's ability to make choices, the judge must make them. it is a fairly pro forma process.

I've been listening to loud music since I was 8. pretty much every single day in fact. i always loved music & its an addiction to me. & I listen to it loud. I'm 18 now & I do get headaches now but,I haven't noticed hearing loss yet. I'm trying to tone it down now before I do any serious damage

I think that many hearing people feel awkward when trying to speak with someone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. It's a thick communication barrier, and many people aren't sure how to deal with it.
If that's not the case, it's sometimes true that hearing people do honestly feel sorry for Deaf people or think that they are inferior; I hate saying that, but it's true that many people look down upon the Deaf/HOH community because they aren't 'normal'.

There could be a number of possibilities going on such as endometriosis (just using endometriosis as an example only) but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

During committee testimony this week in Austin, a Texas senator interrupted a Spanish speaker and telling him he should “be speaking in English” during a committee hearing. Contact your local Lions Club. Their philanthropy is hearing and they have programs to help you get into hearing aids affordably. Also you can call any Audiologist office and ask them if they can help you get an application for Starkey's "Hear Now" program. If you qualify financially you can get a very expensive set of hearing aids for a couple of hundred bucks. Also, if there is a University with an Audiology program nearby they might be able to provide you with discounted aids, place you in a research study with devices or at the very least help find you resources in your area. Used hearing aids aren't a very good idea because these devices are programmed to your hearing loss and someone elses hearing aid may over amplify for your loss and cause damage your hearing furrier.
