Tradeshift is working on what it positions as the world’s first free invoicing platform, news which we broke on its launch in February. We are also hearing from sources that a couple of European VCs are negotiating to go in on a $80-100 million valuation. Right now Tradeshift has entered closed beta stage with its free invoicing platform and is aiming at an open beta in the next month or so. It also says it’s been testing the platform with “several very large enterprise customers” which have access to 50,000 companies globally. These will be invited to join Tradeshift to connect to their larger business partners via the platform. Among these is TDC, the largest Telco in Denmark with suppliers all across Europe.

it sounds real old fashioned but i used to sing in a band before i started up bass. anyway, my point is get those subtle ear plugs that just mute the sound a little quieter not completely

I had my first hearing aids when I was 3 or 4. I think 5. I don’t remember but yea. The point is that when I wore them, THEY….WERE…AWSOME!!!!! I could hear stuff!!!!! LOL

This will depend on your life style. Perfect hearing is -10 to 10, Normal hearing is 0 to -10 and Average is -10 to -20 dBs. Some people that are involved in Music will want a hearing aid if they are at -20 because they will be needing to hear some frequiencies more clearly.
GENERALY speaking, if you are at -30 and below in frequencies 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1200, 2000 —- You will want a digital hearing aid.
There is an American Guy in South America that I bought My Aids from. He works in Peru helping the Poor and the 3rd world people hear. He has a company called AccuToneUSA and he told me to send my Ear Impressions to Him. He build me 2 VERY nice 32 channel 64 band hearing aids for about $1200 total. Hate to break it to you, but hearing is fundamental in nursing.
You need to be able to use a stethoscope with accuracy, and sometimes there is background noise which can make it difficult even for 100% hearing. You need to be able to hear when people call out for you as they don't always use a call bell. You need to hear unusual sounds or faint alarms that might be pointing to something much bigger.
I think you might be able to work in an area of nursing like research or administration, but I'm not sure you'd be able to make it through nursing school with a hearing loss.
The best thing to do is contact the nursing schools directly to see.

Okay the deal with ipods is that the further in your ear the earphones are the louder the sound hits your eardrum. So the ipod has brought this issue out as they are commonly used with the small earbuds. It is fine to use the small earbuds if you are not blasting the volume on the music.
OSHA standards for noise exposure for workers in a factory are that the worker can be exposed to an 85 dB sound for 8 hours. So if the sound is louder they need to wear ear protection. The formula continues and you can safely listen to a 90 dB sound four 4 hours, a 95 dB sound for 2 hours etc. Some examples of how loud things are.
Average conversational speech is 60 dB
a dog barking is about 75 dB
a piano is about 80 dB
a helicoptor is about 95 dB
a Lawnmower is about 100 dB
So the moral of the story is. Don't let all the talk prevent you from enjoying your music. Be sensible don't use the volume all the way up. Don't listen all day long at loud volumes. Short use should be okay. Better safe than sorry so you should always wear ear protection when around a lot of noise when using power tools and mowing the lawn

Don't jump to the worst, please. I has a sneezing attack last weekend and it made my hearing different in one ear. I purchased some decongestant pills and took them two or three times and my problem resolved. Often, it can be crude in your ear, allergies or some other mundane cause. Try the least invasive treatments first, but get a test (an MRI?) so you aren't afraid of cancer. Don't waste energy on fear of what doesn't exist.
I know that just having my hearing different for a short time was very disturbing. I hope that you can find a treatment for your problem that cures it. Acupuncture, where needles go into the ear, can make some beneficial changes. I was really surprised by how acupuncture changed my ear canals for the better.

You might want to research blogs on hearing aids or Hearing Planets to see if others have had similar experience and what they've done about it. I'm from Texas where nobody can even buy any medical grade equipment for home use. Only licensed qualified health facilities can, to be sure the sellers' items are up to specs and the buyers use them properly. I hate to say it, but on line it's always Buyer Beware!

if your in the car for example the person sitting next to you can talk in the microphone and you can hear them better. Because their mouth is closer to the microphone than your ear there is less noise from car etc. making it easier to hear them.

Hearing aids are a device which helps people to hear it isn't a disease, they look like this.
So know you can't get hearing aids from listening to the same sing your friends are messing around, there is an illness called aids which can come from using needles other people have used ect.
