National Patient ID Would Violate Patient Privacy Rights, Says Citizens' Council On Health Care, USA
Responding to a major study released yesterday by the Rand Corporation, Citizens’ Council on Health Care says Congress should maintain its long-standing prohibition on development of a national patient identification number, otherwise known as the Unique Patient Identifier (UPI).

No. Maximum hearing loss (noise induced) is immediately after exposure. it improves with time.
What might be occuring in your case is Presbyacusis. the commonest cause of decreased hearing with age.

The Beauty of 70+ Years Of Marriage Earlier this week, I spent some time with my grandparents. Grandpa is 94. He’s got bad knees, uses a walker, is suffering prostate issues, and can’t hear all that well—even when his hearing aids are turned on. For the most part, though, he’s a healthy, strong old …

A Snark Too Far There’s nothing wrong with a little harmless ridicule. But sometimes we take it too far. Hey, we know we have a problem. When we saw Able Planet’s booth at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, we knew we had a winner on our hands. Specifically, a winner of the Wootable Award for Most Underwhelming Slogan. We thought “It Is Possible” was a hilariously understated tagline, especially at a show packed to the rafters with overbearing hype. Whoops. As Able Planet CEO Kevin Semcken pointed out, the company chose that slogan to make the point that “It Is Possible” to lead a full, active life despite hearing loss. Products like these Noise Canceling Headphones don’t just deliver clear, full sound for people with normal hearing – they also enhance sound clarity for individuals with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. To make us feel even worse, our photo of the Able Planet booth included part of a display featuring snowboarding champion Lauren Weibert, who herself…

Well, thats a tough one. Stem cell research is still a touchy subject that President Obama hasn't put a whole lot of "priority" into, so if I were you, I would write either your State Senator or even go as far as the President and ask him directly, because the US public has as good as a guess as you
Hope this helps!

Hi there,
I'm not a girl. But as a guy, I would encourage you not to think of people (girls included) judging you on the basis of your disability. I know of a blind guy who won over a beautiful girl, who he is now married to! I believe that it is your personality; not your disabilities that counts.
I hope this helps.

We contacted an American Man that provides hearing aids to the Poorer 3rd world countries such as Peru. He gave me prices of $300-$500 for Digital Programmables being a 12 band 4 channel hearing aid. Also for a 32 channel 64 band, he quoted me $699. I bought the 32 Channel for $699. All I had to do was mail him 2 ear impressions to him in Peru using DHL and he sent my custom built hearing aids back to me in 3 weeks. I save about $3000 using this man. He also gave me 1 year warranty. you can look at his website at www accutoneusa com you will want to email the owner directly at and ask to speak to Doug. Mention My name, FRANK from South Dakota.

This is a good example of a sloping hearing loss (most commonly caused by aging) but does not simulate all noise induced hearing loss -I have a cookie bite notch in my audiogram at 3k and it is a completely different sound -its hard to explain -high notes are clear as a bell but the midrange is dropping out so music sounds tinny and people sound like they are speaking with a lisp all the time- its not a problem for communication yet but still very very frustrating

Okay, there’s a possibility that our growing anxiousness for Google Wallet is distorting our perceptions. Or, perhaps we’re merely days from its debut. Let’s put it this way: new information from RadioShack suggests the retailer will begin accepting Google Wallet transactions on September 1st. While this fundamentally means that NFC readers will be in place — which isn’t earth-shattering news — The Shack is one of Google Wallet’s launch partners, and it seems the company is priming its employees for the revolution late next week. Like Fox Mulder, we want to believe. Worst case scenario, we now have proof that Google’s launch partners are gearing up for its arrival. Hey, we’re looking forward to handing over our phones to complete strangers. Aren’t you? Update: We’re hearing this is more likely just another retailer ramping up for a launch later in the month, so don’t get too eager for something shocking to happen on 9/1. Also, of course you don’t need to hand over your phone to use…
