NCD history goes as far back as 1954 when the National Council for the Deaf and Blind was inaugurated. The basic aim of the Council is the social rehabilitation of the Deaf and the Fight against Deafness. In order to fulfill these objectives awareness, and identifying the Hearing Impaired (Deaf) , early diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation is most important. In order to fulfill our objectives the National Council for the Deaf runs the following projects. Audiology Clinic for Pure tone audometry and Impedance testing. Parent Counseling for parents of hearing impaired / disabled children Recommendation and fitting of hearing aids. Repair and maintenance of hearing aids. Ear mould laboratory for manufacturing of individual custom made ear moulds. Pre school for hearing impaired children. Hostel & school for hearing impaired children over 6 years.

Interesting to see how many children are wearing body-worn hearing aids. Are they common among adults as well. In addition, I was interested to see a fan in the room. Somebody I know who is actually studying to be an audiologist and who wears hearing aids who was born in pakistan but moved to the US quite young went back to Pakistan on holiday, and she says that she hardly wore her hearing aids because of the noise of the fans everywhere.

if you fly ifr. you have to be in contact with a controller..
if you use controled airports you have to talk to the tower.
you can fly but you need someone that can hear instructions and take the aircraft over at that instant…. you dont have time for sign language.. if you just want to fly local .. without going into a controled airport.. or fly ifr. youj will be ok.. but without hearing.. i would take another pilot that can hear .. but myself i dont go to many places and very seldon use the radio. ok .

It rather depends on your employment contract and the rules within your own department, and the manager that you may work under that may decide what 'reasonable' expenses actually means. 40 pence per mile would be considered a 'reasonable' expenses claim amount. And if I managed people that fell under using their own cars, I think I would be happy pay that.
As a general guide in public sector jobs, cars and vans should get 40 pence per mile for the 1st 10,000 miles in the year, then it should fall to 25 pence a mile thereafter. If you carry any passengers whilst travelling on council business, you should be able to add 5 pence per passenger (whoo hoo)!
For motor cycles a flat rate of 24 pence per mile should be payable.
For bicycles a flat rate of 20 pence per mile should apply – (paying you to keep fit LOL).
2 litre Engine size should not even come into this, as an employee with a smaller car and less 'luxurious' car such as yours would de 'discriminated' against, and we can't discriminate these days can we? Due to human rights and 'green issues blah blah. So, you might want to consider getting a 1 litre Corsa that does 70 miles to the gallon to make the most of your expenses entitlements, and that is your choice.
