There could be a number of possibilities going on such as endometriosis (just using endometriosis as an example only) but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

Hearing aids are "self contained" and can be used anywhere. FM listening headsets are used only in auditoriums and churches where there is a transmitter set up to rebroadcast the sound coming out of the PA system. The FM listening device (receiver) then picks up the broadcast.
I have noticed that most people take their hearing aids out when using the assisted listening headsets.
To make a long answer short, yes you still will need your hearing aid, but you may choose to take it out when using the FM listening device.

It usually does take a few infections, but it is better not to risk the hearing loss; see an pediatric ENT; if it's a buildup of fluid or any other blocking in the ear, they can safely have it removed.

Sound occurs over a wide spectrum of frequencies. The human ear is sensitive to a frequency band withing that spectrum. Since sounds occur at different frequencies, you will not be able to hear the sounds at the high end. The frequency that dogs can hear covers a different range. That is why a dog can respond to a human voice, but also to a silent dog whistle which is too high of a frequency for humans. Noise induced hearing damage is directly related to the duration and volume of exposure to a noise. While there are drugs that cause tinnitus, exposure to loud noise causes ringing in ears and long term hearing loss.

I think that many hearing people feel awkward when trying to speak with someone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing. It's a thick communication barrier, and many people aren't sure how to deal with it.
If that's not the case, it's sometimes true that hearing people do honestly feel sorry for Deaf people or think that they are inferior; I hate saying that, but it's true that many people look down upon the Deaf/HOH community because they aren't 'normal'.

Medical records and diagnosis along with treatment options are presented to the judge. Patient advocate gives opinion and judge makes decision. Judge usually agrees to sound medical procedure.
Since the state has removed the patient's ability to make choices, the judge must make them. it is a fairly pro forma process.

The hearing requirements aren't too tough. If you can carry on a normal conversation in a quiet room with your back turned to the other person, you'll be OK.

Someone that works for the VA or with a National Veterans Service Organization ??? Makes a big difference…
(If you just claimed it at a VA Hospital for treatment…
without Filing a claim with the Regional Office…you haven't filed…)

We contacted an American Man that provides hearing aids to the Poorer 3rd world countries such as Peru. He gave me prices of $300-$500 for Digital Programmables being a 12 band 4 channel hearing aid. You need to be seen by a Dr. there is no way for someone to diagnose a hearing problem via this forum. It could come back in the next few minutes or it may never come back. If you know who this person is take them to small claims court and have them pay your medical bills and if the Dr. says your hearing may never come back then its a much bigger law suit. And if you are the idiot who lit the firecracker then I feel for you.

I'm sorry to hear abt ur hearing loss. It's a sweet gift that we all take granted for. Don't be shy to ask people to repeat. U may want to learn a little sign language and lip reading. Have u talked to the doctors about any medical hearing aids u could use? If those hearing aids can't help u and it's more of a nerve damage then I suggest looking into having a cochlea implant. However I don't think any doctor will recommend it to u unless, I don't mean to upset u, u r virtually deaf. Then u may consider a cochlea implant which really is a medical wonder and the procedure is very easy and safe. However u should try taking care of ears as much as u can, avoiding loud decibels, wax in the ears, etc. Perhaps the damage could get better…but I don't want to give u false hope. I hope this helps.
