The Guardian exposé of the English Defence League should now persuade Westminster to take anti-Muslim hatred seriously The Guardian’s brave and insightful undercover investigation into the activities of the EDL should finally persuade Westminster politicians to take the issue of Islamophobia and anti-Muslim violence seriously. Our own research supports the findings of the Guardian investigation, most importantly concerning the extent to which the EDL is fuelled by visceral, violent anti-Muslim hatred. The video that accompanies the Guardian report should leave no room for doubt that members of the EDL are echoing sentiments about Muslims they have adopted from sections of the mainstream media and the BNP. It is no coincidence that Nick Griffin has been peddling exactly the same hatred towards Muslims for the last decade. Similarly, a cursory examination of the records of Islamophobia Watch over the last five years provides a sense of the extent of Islamophobia in the mainstream media….

By now, you should at least be passingly familiar with Python. One of the fastest-growing languages, Python has been gaining popularity for years and has reached a level of maturity that makes it a top choice for enterprise development. Companies from Microsoft to Google have embraced Python and are not only supporting its use, but also investing in its development.

PLEASE forget that you read the advice from Marie C..
Your dogs problem isn't disobedience, but insecurity. any punishment will only enhance the problem..Instead of staying in the yard with her, walk her where there are not other dogs..she is afraid to leave her scent outside, where predators can find it and know where she lives, so she leaves it inside, where she knows you will clean it up, and she is safe and protected..she is even willing to risk your displeasure and even discipline, as she knows that you won't kill and eat her..
Walking stimulates bowel action, so, don your jacket and set out on a walk…Go to plenty of secluded areas, not common to to other dogs..As she tries to hold it, keep walking until she can't hold it longer..then rush her happily back home as soon as she goes….She will soon learn that she gets to go back home as soon as she does it..You don't have to go far from home on your walks, just walking back and forth, close to home is fine..as soon as she begins to do it regularly on walks, pour a bag of sand in an area of your yard..take her for a walk, and then back home, and stand around the sand with a loose lead..Hopefully she will get the idea to do it in the sand (needs to be in a corner) Pick it up before she goes again..Dogs generally learn in 14 repetitions, so this should only take about a week to 10 days of walking twice a day..
Never scold her for going in the house, but if she does, cheerfully put a leash on her and take her and the poop to the sand and deposit it there, and praise as if she did it there..
You can get a bag or two of sand at any garden center or hardware store..(cheaply)

JS, i absolutely agree that this Regime has got its eyes on the whole region, but thats nothing new and i don’t see it as threatening the US directly, its just the way politics in that region works: Arabs trying to influence parts of Iran, Persians trying to influence parts of the Arab world, its been like that for thousands of years. Threatening US interests in retaliation of their own interests being threated? Yes. Threatening the US? No. Based on what i see and know, this regime and its military-political power is very similar to the last years of the communist regime in Russia, meaning they talk big but they don’t have the means to back up their tough-guy attitude. The military is using 30-40 year old technology, the economy is collapsing and more importantly the people are against them. Its just like the Red-Square parades where hundreds of thousands of soldiers marched to show their power but all they had was rusted equipment that was painted over with a fresh coat of paint. The US knows this very well. Its just a matter of time before the whole system collapses if they apply their political pressure wisely and to where it hurts. I just hope the US and Israel don’t attack Iran, Persians are patriotic and they would even rally behind a regime they hate just to stop or retaliate against their invaders.

Egypt has restored internet access, according to Google, social media and other sources. Google, which can also monitor internet traffic patterns via its global network, said via Twitter: “Good news: Internet access being restored in Egypt.” The dominant search engine had created a tool at the weekend to circumvent the blackout by automatically converting Egyptians’ voicemail messages to Tweets. BGPMon, a networking firm which monitors internet traffic routing, said it “noticed the first signs of life from the previously unreachable Egyptian networks” at about 4:45 a.m. ET. Most ISPs are have reannounced Border Gateway Protocol routes, which tell other networks how to send and receive their traffic, BGPMon said. Egyptian Internet statistics from RIPE, the European organization that oversees Internet address allocation, showed the restoration of Egypt’s internet operations. A number of Egyptian Web sites, including the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, the Central Bank of Egypt, and the Egyptian…

My friend, [redacted], Is in hiding [just] outside of Tripoli. He is a Sierra Leonean. As Qaddafi’s forces try to keep control of Libya, Xenophobia grows stronger. All black Africans are becoming targets. [My friend] is not alone. There are seven others in hiding with him. They look to him, because he has contact with the Westerner, someone who might be able to save them all. I don’t know what to do. All I can think of doing is informing others.

There’s good reason why analysts have been excited by the prospect of a Pfizer break-up. They figure that the company would be worth $180 billion in pieces, about 11 percent more than it’s worth now, Forbes reports. But is the prospect of ginning up value via sell-offs just another distraction from Pfizer’s internal problems? The divestment idea certainly is generating plenty of talk. And even though the “strategic review” of Pfizer assets will continue for the better part of this year, CEO Ian Read seems to be leaning toward some sell-offs. “My sense is he’s already made up his mind,” Goldman Sachs analyst Jami Rubin, who’s been calling for a Pfizer break-up for years, told Forbes. “[Pfizer is] not a significantly diversified company to begin with,” Read told the Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. “So my focus is to ensure that the core is productive, the core is working.” He cited animal health, nutritionals and consumer health as “outside” of that core business. Forbes…

Nothing happens at open meetings that doesn't happen at closed ones. Most of the time, you cannot tell the difference between open and closed.
At every AA meeting, they will open with the serenity prayer. Then there will be readings from the Big Book: "How it Works" and the 12 steps. The 12 traditions will also be read. Throughout the readings there will be occasional chanting. There will be announcements from the secretary.
Then it depends on what kind of meeting it is. If it is a speaker meeting someone will get up and talk for 40 minutes or so about how their life sucked when they were an alcoholic and how great it is now. If it is a discussion, there will be a topic and people will either get called on by the chair to discuss it or they'll go around the room in order.
After that part of the meeting they will pass a basket and most people will put in a dollar or two. Then the meeting will close with more prayer, usually the Lords Prayer, sometimes the Serenity Prayer again. There will be more chanting at the end, too.

"many reasons"? ok then, why would they lie about their population?
what about every other country? Why single China out like that, huh? the US could lie about the statistics but what would be the point?
China is a country willing to cooperate with the world but the Western countries are too fearful to cooperate, so they send propaganda to the citizens to make sure they don't like the PRC either.

“”The Occupy Wall Street movement is at a crossroads. Since the protesters in Zuccotti Park who made headlines around the world were ousted from their New York City encampment in November, and other demonstrators were sent packing in cities across the country, observers have been left wondering whether the movement is on its deathbed or will transform and grow in the coming year. With that in mind, POLITICO asked cultural critics, advertising and messaging gurus, activists and others for their ideas about how Occupy can stay relevant.”"
