Hearing aids are just about as good as the test equipment used and the knowledge and experience of the person who conducts the frequency response test on your individual ears. The test determines what frequencies within the audio frequency spectrum that your ear needs to have amplified and by how much so that sounds are normal rather than distorted. It takes several different frequencies to stimulate your ear to produce a particular undistorted sound. If your ear does not respond to all of those frequencies required to produce all the sounds then normal speech sounds distorted.
The trick to a successful hearing aid is to have an accurate frequency response test ran on your ears and then have the hearing aid tuned to amplify the audio frequencies that need amplifying and passing the other audio frequencies on as is.
If the frequency response test determines that your ear responds poorly to all audio frequencies then the hearing aid can be tuned to amplify all frequencies the same and amplified enough so that the sounds are at the desired volume.
If the frequency response test determines that your ear does not respond at all to certain audio frequencies then a hearing aid can not remove the distortion.

I'm not sure about any cell phones, but you can get a Phonak Smart Link FM system, which has blue tooth technology, and you can plug your cell phone into it, which will send the signal directly into your hearing aid. You'd have to buy a reciever to attach to your hearing aid as well. This can be expensive, but if you're planning on using your phone a lot it would be worth it. I would suggest you call Phonak's FM division and ask them more about it. Good luck!

Digital hearing aids are devices which enable the user to receive good quality sound. The technology used in these devices is very effective and reliable. Digital hearing aids convert the incoming analog sound waves to digital code by mathematical calculations, and amplify these sound waves for better output. The hi-tech methods of these aids ensure full accuracy. One of the best characteristics of digital hearing aid is that its mechanism allows the user to adjust the device according to one’s hearing problem. This can be done by connecting the device to a computer and setting the application according to the problem. Hearing aids have microphones which receive the sound from the environment and sends it to the ear without any noise and d … digital hearing aids, hearing aids, hearing aid accessories, hearing aid batteries

“Discover” what? We dont “discover” interpretations. Evolutionists sometimes do first-class research when it comes to operational science – no doubt about That. It’s their interpretations of those operational OBSERVABLE facts that I disagree with. But if evolutionists discover physical “facts” – then I’m not against that – AT ALL. .

I don’t think these two things are remotely comparable (being transgender and want a sex change vs. being hearing and wanting to become Deaf). As an earlier poster said, a person who wants to alter their sexual “parts” is trying to match their body to the gender identity that they were born with- Deaf culture is just that- A culture, ACQUIRED after birth. Although people joke about Deaf people being born in hearing people’s bodies- what they mean is that hearing person has acquired Deaf culture.

If your eyesight is weakening, you get glasses. When we feel a tooth ache, we visit the dentist. and we never think twice about seeking a doctor’s care with a broken bone. But when most people’s hearing starts to go as they age all they do is turn up the TV, strain to listen, and decide they just have to live with it. Why do we refuse to use hearing aids? The National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders reports there are twenty-eight million people who suffer from a loss of hearing. Hearing aids can help with a wide range of auditory issues. Yes, we all remember our grandparents and the hearing aids that looked like a small transistor radio complete with wires running from pocket to ear, but they have definitely imp … hearing aids, Hearing test, hearing loss, hearing care

Conductive :
Conductive hearing loss occurs when sound is not normally conducted through the outer or middle ear (or both). Since sound can be picked up by a normally sensitive inner ear even if the ear canal, ear drum, and ear ossicles are not working, conductive hearing loss is often only mild and is never worse than a moderate impairment. Hearing thresholds will not rise above 55-60 dB from outer or middle ear problems alone. Generally, with pure conductive hearing loss, the quality of hearing (speech discrimination) is good, as long as the sound is amplified loud enough to be easily heard.
A conductive loss can be caused by any of the following:
* Ear canal obstruction
* Middle ear abnormalities:
o Tympanic membrane
o Ossicles
Sensorineural hearing loss :
A sensorineural hearing loss is due to insensitivity of the inner ear (the cochlea), or to impairment of function in the auditory nervous system. It can be mild, moderate, or severe, including total deafness.
Sensorineural hearing loss can be caused by any of the following:
Long term exposure to environmental noise
Genetic
Disease or illness
Medications
Physical trauma

The tiny tubes that connect the inner ear chambers to the throat are designed to equalize pressure. These "eustacion tubes" are often congested and can be difficult to clear without help. Scuba divers have the same problem in reverse when pressure in the outer ear increases with depth. Swallowing manipulates the tubes and often helps in clearing them enough to allow a pressure differential to equalize.
Astronauts have a different problem. The spiral canal in the middle ear contains liquid that is usually at rest in the bottom of the canal. Cilia or tiny hairs in the canal transmit information to the brain when the fluid moves as equilibrium is disturbed, essentially telling us which way is up. It is the main reason for sea sickness. At zero gravity the fluid floats around in the middle ear erasing the sense of equilibrium. Astronauts train in zero gravity to get used to and overcome this sensation.
