Recent observational and theoretical studies of the global properties of small-scale atmospheric gravity waves have highlighted the global effects of these waves on the circulation from the surface to the middle atmosphere. The effects of gravity waves on the large-scale circulation have long been treated via parametrizations in both climate and weather-forecasting applications. In these parametrizations, key parameters describe the global distributions of gravity-wave momentum flux, wavelengths and frequencies. Until recently, global observations could not define the required parameters because the waves are small in scale and intermittent in occurrence. Recent satellite and other global datasets with improved resolution, along with innovative analysis methods, are now providing constraints for the parametrizations that can improve the treatment of these waves in climate-prediction models. Research using very-high-resolution global models has also recently demonstrated the capability…

Healthcare facilities are potentially dangerous work environments, and while proper training, engineering controls and administrative precautions can help to effectively manage risk, employee accidents can and do happen. Accidents are inevitable in today’s healthcare workplace – even with the best loss control program employees still get in a hurry or get distracted. Employee accidents, while unfortunate, present an opportunity to improve the performance of a healthcare facility’s safety program. Properly conducted accident investigations provide solutions to many workplace hazards. Not just risk managers, but all frontline supervisors need to understand how to conduct an investigation before an accident occurs. Mistakes or omissions can be costly.

Hey, I’m a young artist, and I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my original compositions “My Bluest Sky” and “Será.” “My Bluest Sky” sounds a bit like a cross between “Irreplaceable” by Beyoncé, “Water Runs Dry” by Boyz II Men, and “Tell Him” by Lauryn Hill. And “Será” is, of course, a Latin number that is very high energy, hot-blooded, and extremely unforgettable. Thanks!

Start off with a polite Hello _________ (name), and ask him (in the letter) how are you? Then say that you're fine or good (whatever you want), and explain that you're going to tell him why (your teacher right?) he's such a great teacher. Include the way that your teacher teaches, how he behaves and is toward the students. How he is everyday (does he always have a smile on his face?)
How much he helps his students and makes sure that they understand and are following with the material that he's teaching. Etc. Etc. Etc. I hope that my ideas have given you some (more). The format should be the letter format. Date in the top right hand corner. The Greeting (Dear ________ or Hello __________) should be below the Date and on the left side of the paper. Indent your first paragraph to right below the comma after the Greeting. Then each paragraph after that can be indented using the length of your finger or thumb, or you can indent it the same way as the first paragraph. And end the letter with a Sincerely or Yours Truly. Something like that. The Ending (Sincerely/Yours Truly should be below the your letter (paragraphs) and be aligned with your Date. Meaning that when you put a rule next to the Date vertically, the Ending is also aligned with the ruler as the Date is. Also, forgot to end that you should have a thank you after your letter (paragraphs), but before your ending.

It depends. If you're more comfortable handing it directly person to person (to the principal), then hand it. If you're more comfortable with just leaving it at the office, then leave it at the office. I would leave it at the office, because I feel more comfortable doing that. But, it's your choice.

    Hope I helped.

The East End’s Hermitage Wharf memorial garden should stay open to everyone Ever heard of the Dead End Kids? When German bombers began 76 successive nights of raids on the London docks in 1940, Patsie Duggan and his team of tin-hatted teenagers, including his 13-year-old sister, Maureen, ran around Wapping, in east London, dodging flying debris, pulling people from burning buildings and doing their best to douse the flames. By the time the Blitz was over, two lads had been killed and Patsie injured, but they had saved many lives. Fast forward to today and Wapping is another country, a tranquil backwater now the docks are long closed. What the Luftwaffe failed to destroy, developers have transformed into expensive riverside flats; bright steel and glass apartment blocks rise alongside them, their reflections dancing in a far less polluted Thames. Does the spirit of Patsie’s daring team live on in Wapping’s firmly multi-cultural teenagers today? Not if you believe some of the new East…
