Question [ 06 ] – Ray Siposs in Irvine, CA wonders about emptying trash from an
    encrypted folder:

    Steve,
I am a Mac user, and have listened to your show since the beginning
and have learned much. Thank you for doing it.

I purchased SpinRite, several months ago, though as of yet I have not
had any need for it. Consider my purchase as a sign of support for the
work you and Leo do. I hope a Mac version will one day be made
    available.
My question: If one uses Truecrypt, or Mac’s Disc-Utility encryption
application to make a container for holding files, what happens to the files
    when trashed?
In other words, do I need to do a “secure delete” of those files, or are
they already encrypted (by being held in the encrypted folder) and a
“normal” delete will suffice as they already unreadable?
I have never been able to find information on deleting files from an
    encrypted container.

    Thanks much.

PS: If I am ever in the UCI area Starbuck’s I’ll buy you a cup. :)
    Cheers,
    Ray

The Windows XP will be fine (don't worry about it).

Now the Microsoft Word is a little different. If it came installed with the computer then, yes, go ahead. If you bought it separately it might, or might not be on there. Either way, if you still have the CD and the CD key you can reinstall it when the PC Restore is done.

That pain on the top of foot, after running 6 miles barefoot (having never done it before) could be the start of stress fracture in bone. I had similar pain, but stopped. A friend kept going and ended up in a cast. I think barefoot running is natural, a logical ideal, and I’d like to transition to it, but after many years in shoes it is also logical to ease into it. While presidents and military leaders have never successfully bridged or solved the political and cultural problems of the Middle East, can UFOs and zombies bring Israelis and Palestinians together?

That’s the vision of many filmmakers, including Israeli director David Gidali, who, along with cinematographer Itay Gross, just won the top prize in the “Jerusalem 2111″ film competition.

The contest was sponsored by the Israel-based Association of Planning and Conservation, which creates architectural models of Jerusalem. Filmmakers were invited to submit their futuristic sci-fi visions of what Jerusalem might look like 100 years from now, Reuters reports.

An international jury — including “Avatar” producer Jon Landau — evaluated the films, which were created by amateur and professional computer-graphics artists, architects and designers. While most of the nearly 100 entries were submitted from Israel, many came from 10 other countries.

On New Year’s Eve, the $10,000 first prize was awarded to Gidali’s two-minute “Secular Quarter #3,” which depicts a couple who live in restricted, dome-covered areas of Jerusalem, finally meeting each other after UFOs lift and carry away the gigantic “cages” that had covered their neighborhoods.

“I ended the movie with an optimistic note, to start a thought process and to get people to ask themselves, ‘Wait a minute, do we actually need extraterrestrial vehicles to come and lift the walls between us, or is it something that we can do by ourselves?” Gidali said.

The Jerusalem Development Authority is considering expanding Gidali’s UFO-filled vision of Jerusalem into a full-length film.

Have u noticed that most of these ” doctors” that R willing to dispense their ill informed ” advice” have never even suffered depression. They simply cannot know what a terrible, TERRIBLE illness depression really is. They are giving out information that is not only untrue but actually DANGEROUS. I've heard that Symantec Anti-virus does a poor job in detecting and deleting viruses. Sometimes, running a full scan triggers viruses to life. This could be one of those scenarios.

Try NOD32 to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 – It works fine for me and is very faithful. Also, Kaspersky is one of the leading anti-virus manufacturers that's always topping in anti-virus category.

Run a full spyware scan too. Since popups are caused by spyware and adware too.
