Friends Reunited — which once laid claim to being the UK’s first social network before falling far behind the pull of Facebook — is relaunching this week as a “digital scrapbook” where users can collect their own pictures along with copyrighted photos, through a series of deals with image libraries. The first two libraries to sign up, the Press Association and photographic archive company the Francis Frith Collection, collectively will contribute some 350,000 photos into the service, and a spokesperson says that there will be “more images and deals with more libraries added in the next few months.” Altogether the site will offer users 10 million “memories” in the form of 6 million photos, 2 million events and 2 million places to tag alongside their own content.

Well, personally, I have experienced a bit of hearing loss after listening to loud stuff…well, kind of experienced.

In the past…well, not that far back, about half a year ago, I used to watch television and blast the volume(Nah, I didn't disturb the neighbors). Though it is kinda nice to do so as you block out all surrounding noise, I realised that when speaking to my friends, I could not hear them as clearly as I used to and they begun to make jokes such as "Hey dude, you gotta get a hearing aid!"

Anyway, I do think that you'll suffer from significant hearing loss if you listen to you iPod at too loud volumes but I doubt if it would result in permanent hearing loss. You might experience a kind of high pitched ringing noise after listening to extremely loud music and depending on the loudness and how long you've been listening to, the time that your hearing will return differs.

It is true that it is more likely to contract HIV if you are female than male. Sadly basic anatomy makes it easier for a woman to be a reservior for viruses and bacteria. The vagina is a moist dark, warm haven for bacteria and viruses. The penis on the other hand is a shaft that has the chance of being exposed to the air after sexual intercourse. Several viruses and bacteria die when exposed to air and become dry on the shaft. Circumcised men are less likely to contract HIV because there aren't any additional folds for the virus to hide in around the head of the penis where the virus can/will infect the male unless the shaft of his penis has cuts or abrasions.
