Have you ever seen how we turn out to be almost oblivious to the existence of something over time, when we would have paid a whole lot of attention to it at the time it was new? This is merely human nature, in general. Many people say that we are drawn to "bright, shiny objects," as they say in marketing terms and we focus our attention here right up until another thing new and interesting comes along.
i watch signing time in the tv, it comes out about once a week. it's fun and interesting to watch, you really learn a lot. my brother also enjoys watching it, we're always waiting for it to come out. no one in my family has speech problems, but it's still useful to know it. it would be nice to meet someone i could use it with, still looking.

IMPOSSIBLE!

once the hair cells are damaged they are damaged. there is no magical-medicinal cure for a sensory/ neural hearing loss.

buck up and get your self some hearing aids. if you have a high frequency loss. make sure they have directional microphones and at the very least 8 channels so the audiologist has greater programming ease.

Sound occurs over a wide spectrum of frequencies. The human ear is sensitive to a frequency band withing that spectrum. Since sounds occur at different frequencies, you will not be able to hear the sounds at the high end. The frequency that dogs can hear covers a different range. That is why a dog can respond to a human voice, but also to a silent dog whistle which is too high of a frequency for humans. The most common frequency hearing loss for men is the same frequency that their wives speak.

It's typical to have family planning meetings or service plan reviews every followed by a court appearance every 6mo. If the parents are doing really well, and it looks like the child may be returned before the 6mo, they'll move it up. The other reason for more frequent court hearings is the parents lawyer. A really aggressive lawyer can petition the court more often in an attempt to get the child return more quickly.

With our first case we were in court every other week because Dad's lawyer was very thorough and insisted that Dad be able to prove his progress to the judge. In every other case, we've gone to court every 6mo.

I'm not sure about any cell phones, but you can get a Phonak Smart Link FM system, which has blue tooth technology, and you can plug your cell phone into it, which will send the signal directly into your hearing aid. You'd have to buy a reciever to attach to your hearing aid as well. This can be expensive, but if you're planning on using your phone a lot it would be worth it. I would suggest you call Phonak's FM division and ask them more about it. Good luck!

It depends on your personal needs. Talk with your audiologist to discuss different situations where you will wear your new hearing aids and they can help you figure out which ones will best match your price range and your lifestyle. I have a GN ResoundAir digital BTE and I LOVE it. Its all about you and your needs. work with your audi and see what will work best for you! :D

Well, personally, I have experienced a bit of hearing loss after listening to loud stuff...well, kind of experienced.

In the past...well, not that far back, about half a year ago, I used to watch television and blast the volume(Nah, I didn't disturb the neighbors). Though it is kinda nice to do so as you block out all surrounding noise, I realised that when speaking to my friends, I could not hear them as clearly as I used to and they begun to make jokes such as "Hey dude, you gotta get a hearing aid!"

Anyway, I do think that you'll suffer from significant hearing loss if you listen to you iPod at too loud volumes but I doubt if it would result in permanent hearing loss. You might experience a kind of high pitched ringing noise after listening to extremely loud music and depending on the loudness and how long you've been listening to, the time that your hearing will return differs.

Hope this helps, maybe you could take my "story" into your report!

you want ear plugs not hearing aid lol.

it sounds real old fashioned but i used to sing in a band before i started up bass. anyway, my point is get those subtle ear plugs that just mute the sound a little quieter not completely

no disturbance necessary

Unless you are in the market for a second or third hearing aid, you are not going to be prepared for what"s in store when looking for a device. Should this process be easy? If you think about it, the difficulties tied to finding a quality hearing aid in California make it better for the consumer in the end. A quick fix will typically prove to be disappointing.
