Tar is built up and no longer in the air, it is stuck in the pourous surfaces in the room. If you are still smoking in the condo, stop. Scrub and clean all surfaces that could hold onto smells. Some good products are Ozium, FeBreeze, Clorox brand of the same. Also, get a nice scented plug-in and also you can simmer a very strong potpourri so it will sink into these surfaces. Good Luck.

This can be re-written as:
1/(λR) = 1/(n_f)^2 – 1/(n_i)^2
Then create a spreadsheet:
- a2:a11 set equal to 1, 2, 3 .. 10: these will be the n_f values
- b1:k:1 set equal to 1, 2, 3.. 25: these will be the n_i values
- set cell b2 equal to: " =(1/$A2^2 – 1/B$1^2)*(value of λR)) "
- Copy cell b2 across to cell k2 using Control-R
- Copy cells b2:k2 down to b11:k11 using Control-D
Look for the value of 1 to appear in the spreadsheet (or a close approximation): that will be it.
I have designed this spreadsheet assuming that the n values will be < 11; you can easily modify the plan to accommodate a broader range.
Also, if you are familiar with excel, you can modify the program to accept input of any specific wavelength λ.
Spreadsheets are great tools for some types of calculation!
