Foreign governments are already having secret meetings, unknown to the US, where they discuss a replacement for the dollar as the world's reserve currency. At the core of the problem is the crushing US national debt, which Obama thinks is just fine. When the US Treasury is unable to raise the cash it needs at auction, the whole house of cards will start to collapse. China has sold off about $50 billion of its US debt holdings in the past 4 months. When the rest of the world shuns dollars, interest rates and prices here in the US will necessarily skyrocket. Prices will get to the point where they double every day. American will lose all their life savings. When the dollar becomes totally worthless, the government will collapse, and for all intents and purposes the United States will cease to exist. Then it can be picked over by any foreign government that cares to walk in and clean up the mess.
